A couple of weeks ago i shared with you my diy screen door that i built with my hubby and dad. Paint or stain and varnish the frame parts. We had been wanting a screen door for our back porch for years but never got around to putting one in until we updated our back porch. To attach the stiles and rails fit the table saw with a tongue and groove bit.

The screen house built as shown in the plans below is large enough for two families to while away the best of days in. For the bottom kick rail we cut down the 8 inch fir to 7 1 2 inches. Pale yellowish brown to olive green in color light weight and is the best option for painting oak. Pick one of the three available high quality woods that best suits your needs poplar.

Assemble the screen insert frames using glue and brads at the corners. We cut the 6 inch fir down to 5 1 2 inches to create the stiles vertical and top rail horizontal. Allow to dry fully. Screen doors are 1 1 8 thick wood species. The warm glow and the fresh scent of cedar plus the detailed doors and a gorgeous 1 6 cedar board ceiling make the inside of this screen house as inviting as its outside.
